Semla and snow snakes

Out at our favorite cafe in the woods. Mr. Max was well behaved and fooled all the other guests into believing he was a quiet baby.

I thought that place was closed in the winter! What a fun trip that must have been for the three of you.

Katrina, those delicious treats are Semla buns, filled with almond paste and whipped cream and only available this time of year. Frida, I see many, many walks there in our future! Erin, that place is even open on Christmas Day, which we experienced last year and it was so crowded we had to sit outside. They are usually only closed the month of July.

Great place - If it's closed in July and you want similar buns, come to Wisconsin and the state fair for cream puffs! Nice picture. Hope Max remembers all these excursions. Dad
