"hop, hop...wow...go, go!"
"Bye bye...hop, hop...bye bye, go!"
So he just HAD to get up there (he's saying up, help, help, coming, coming!)
But once he was up, he didn't exactly know what to do (he's saying help, pappa, hjälpa mig, ja!)
...you'll see the man on the roof inspecting our chimney.
We didn't use the fireplace last winter when we moved in but are thinking about using it this year. They did find some problems, so we'll be getting an estimate from them soon.

And his favorite- Traktorus maximus:
We've got a large Black Walnut tree on the edge of our property.
As we drank our coffee on the couch this morning, we hear a shuffle coming from the fireplace, the insulation stuffed into the chimney shifts, and out plops this little guy: Glaucomys volans, a flying squirrel. Max decided to sleep in this morning so he missed all the excitement.
It doesn't belong to Max, he borrowed it from one of the kids in our neighborhood, and it wasn't easy to get him out of it.
Maximillian is starting to get the hang of the water bottle, even if he hasn't got the screw-on screw-off thing down yet.
We added a big bright flag to Max's Strider to make the little man more visible. He's getting quicker and quicker and it's not always easy to keep up with him.
Max is saying "brandbil" (firetruck).
Playing at the park with Robbie.
At the fountain on Pearl Street.
We had a little Volvo outing today and took a drive up to a weekly motor show at Bear Mountain. We took four of the company's classic cars, including this 1927 ÖV4, Volvo's first production car.
Dinner on the bed of a PV pickup.
Various other stuff...
Lunch with a view. Boulder is every bit as beautiful as we remembered.
When we picked up our rental car we realized that Hertz has apparently bought up NASA's surplus lunar exploration vehicles.
Maximillian assembled his first three word sentence this morning: "Pappa, more cars!"
A few days ago Maximillian gave his paternal grandparents their first spontaneous hugs with no coaxing from anyone.
Mr. Max Man has gotten into the habit of picking out his own outfits for our after dinner walk. Yesterday he specifically chose these pieces to create the lovely ensemble you see here.
He did indeed have time to stop and smell the flowers.
