Internal Combustion

Well, I had to start somewhere, so why not the engine?

I don't believe in violence, but it was the only way to get the pistons out of the bores.

Is this some kind of strange 3 cylinder engine? Not really, but the center cylinders share an exhaust port.

Engine dismantled and damages assesed.

New parts are available, (if you don't mind paying for them). I went with 8.8:1 compression, .030'' oversize pistons.

The rod and cap are split on an angle so that you can get them through the cylinders.

The bottom end all bottoned up.

There are openings on the side of the block for accesing the push-rods and lifters.

The valves, springs and rockers are in good shape.

The engine completely assembled and masked off.
