I'm Floored
The word "Floor Board" is not an expression. It's a left-over term from decades past when floors were made of wood boards. The MGA had floor boards from the factory. On this particular car, they soaked up water, rotted away, and took part of the chassis with them.

I welded in new sides for the frame, then rails to support the new boards and a coat of paint.
